P&S Site Launched!
14 Jan 2012
Post-production on Ep. 4 | Virtue Cider wrapped a couple of weeks back. I shared it with the team over at Virtue and they were very happy with it, so happy that they decided to premiere it at their 2012 RedStreak Harvest Celebration at Lincoln Hall on Wednesday, March 13th 7-9pm. The event is being put on by Virtue Cider & Time Out Chicago.
Tickets to the event are free/general admission but if you want to RSVP on Lincoln Hall’s site, please do. Come have a glass of RedStreak and watch the newest episode of Practice & Space!
What a better way to kick off December than by shooting at Virtue Farms up in Fennville, MI. This past Saturday, I was invited to film at their brand new cider house. Brian J. Wong tagged along and helped me capture the entire cider making process, we learned a whole bunch about Virtue Cider and their practices. If all goes well, I expect to have this piece done in January.
In the meantime, check out some of these stills from the footage we got. Let me know what you think!
Finally, the next Practice & Space episode is under way. This past Friday was spent interviewing and capturing footage with the amazing team over at Strand Design. Strand is a small product design shop run by Sharon & Ted Burdett. They were kind enough to fill me in on what they do, how they do it and why they do it.
The episode is slated to launch at the beginning of November, I know that’s a ways a way… So in the meantime, check out these production stills from the shoot. Really excited to tell this story!
It’s true, Practice & Space has in fact launched a web presence. The site is currently in it’s infancy stage but it will soon be growing with more content and resources. The goal (in a perfect world) will be to release a new episode once a month. Each episode page will serve as a resource for the topic covered with links to more information on the subject.
And for the camera/documentary nerds there will also be blog updates talking about my experience shooting each episode and how I pulled off certain things. Questions and comments are always welcome, so participate in the conversation and leave a comment!
